Choosing Pellet Size

As a general rule the smallest fish in your pond should determine the size of the pellets. They should be able to easily swallow it. If they have to nibble at it and spit it back out, the pellet is too large. Use the following as a general guide to size to size the pellet:

  • Mini Pellets: small fish, from 1” to 3”
  • Medium Pellets: 3” to 12”
  • Large Pellet: 10” or larger
